Well one doesn't debate the lowness of the cloud when one is a passenger.
I was just glad they didn't clip a hill.
It was actually an eye opener for me. I was calm (ie: awoke from my nap by the sounds of the other nervous pax.) and didn't care if they shot another approach, however the tension in the cabin was high and most passengers would have preferred to go straight back.
As a pilot I always tried very hard to get in to the field thinking that was what the pax wanted. ( especially true in corporate flying). Today I understood that most would rather not be in the airplane and go to YVR.
