i dont agree

hi,

for the OP this is an interesting thread.

but as a centurioncard holder since the first year in germany, i can tell you what is missing ...

Amex should not create a new card at this point.
they should higher the criteria for the current centurioncard.

in germany at the moment the criteria is a lowly 50K Euro to spent. and your bank has something to issue you are good for 250K euros.

in US its 250K spending which is good, as normally the most people will not hit that spending in one year.

so first they have to globalize the centurion product. it is not accaptable that all Centurioncards are totally different products. Amex should build up one Centurioncard headquarter with sub-divisions in each country.

the perks have to be negotiated with the airlines and hotels for all countries, and there should be at least a basic perks which every centurioncard member worldwide gets.

Than the different country centurionservices could add local benefits.

in my eyes the centurion should have the following perks.

- Gold Status in every major alliance
- higehest status in SPG, Hilton (or a centurion fasttrack to diamond) , Hyatt , PC
- highest rental car status in Hertz, Avis
- usage of the centurion card services in every country a centurion card exists.
- better MR redemption levels and more 2-3 points per usd spent.

i would never pay an 10000 usd fee. and indeed the super rich pay CASH... and do not collect miles...
