Actually I got misquoted in the article. The 560k on AA is lifetime program miles and I only have about 65k available now. The 300k is what I have since flying CO so much since last fall. Remember this is when we began to start seeing promotions such as 1-2-3; Hilton and a few others.
For me to accrue 860k between AA and CO last year, I would have had to have been on a flight to Asia or Europe every single weekend!
(BTW, off to Finland for the weekend for the double miles on FinnAir promo!
