My point was that LAS-LAX-SAN-LAX-LAS all on RJs is a pretty crappy MR (for both segs, miles and u/g), especially on UA which I've read and heard has the best routings of any airline (although I don't fly them).
It's all a matter of perspective and goals. I'd kill for $22-$23 segments right now out of ORD/MKE/BMI, as with their DoubleEQMEQS promo, I'm just 7 segments short of Premier Executive. I could care less about the miles, just the segments.
