Do you guys know if it is possible to upgrade my wife under the following scenario.

1) I am PLT
2) She's GLD
3) She's flying alone within the US and Canada
4) I would like to use my 500-mile upgrades.

I was told by an agent that it is possible if I show up at the check-in window with her on the day of the departure. Can you confirm that?
