As far as public transport, the only thing running is the CATS bus on its regular route. It is hourly and will take you from there (pickup at around 52 to 54 minutes after the hour) and get you to the Downtown Charlotte Transportation Center in about 30 minutes (located at 3rd Street, Brevard and Trade smack dab in the middle of the Center City). Taxi fares into Downtown (within the 277 loop) are fixed currently. Until Nov. 7, it's $16 plus a $1 fuel surcharge, and I believe another $1 Airport surcharge. The fare is slated to increase to $20 on Nov. 7 (may be all inclusive). From a time perspective, taxis may be a better bet.

There are town car services available too, and their rates are about the same as the taxis - however, you need to pre-book that service.
