Well I was asleep with ear plugs in when it went off... bloody loud too!!! I didn't know what the hell was going on. My first thought was that it was the clock radio alarm but I couldnt find it...stumbling around the room like a headless chicken desperately worried I was disturbing the person next door, until somebody banged on the door yelling at me to get out. What was disturbing though was that I was on the 7th floor and it took about 10 minutes to get down the stairs in an almost stationary queue. We all stood outside in the car park whilst the fire brigade checked the place out, and finally got back to bed 30 minutes later.
