I'm a big fan of Briggs and Riley luggage. (http://briggs-riley.com/index.asp) While they do cost a lot, they are damn near indistructable.....and their "simple as that" warrentee means that even if you *DO* find a way to destroy them, they will fix it free. I've lucked out and found a brief bag and 20" roll-aboard at a local "odd-lots" store for less than half of retail that are my constant travel companions... And bought a wheeled garment bag off of e-bay (new) for about 70% of retail.
