There is at least one gate in the A concourse that doesn't have any airline signs or anything in the area. All of the others seem to be taken by US or other airlines.

I thought FlyI cut back its CLT flights recently; when it goes under, some more gates will be free.

I am so hoping that Southwest comes to Charlotte. Hell would freeze over before I would take it, but at least it would bring more competition (and if US goes under, other airlines will surely expand in CLT).
