, gives me a shortcut to the latest conversations among people who frequent the SQ forum or attend the DOs. And I'm hoping it will serve as a way for people to introduce themselves and chime in and join the group. It'll be like "Cheers": come in often enough, and soon "everybody knows your name".*
On more utilitarian grounds, The Lounge also helps keep the threads more on-topic. (Not that I will be able to resist the occasional temptation to post something moderately OT: it's just in my blood.
)
*Clearly, there are a bunch of Krug Norms among us. I also have candidates for Diane and Sam.
