Seems like a lot to fit into the overhead bins... bin hog...

In my experience, skiing has always been quite a bulky affair when it came to traveling.
I was working on the basis that when I go for a week, my bag (incl. boots) comes in around the 18kgs mark. Given this is the same as the CE carry-on allowance when split between two bags (and finances now dictate that perhaps I could afford to spend £300 rather than £100 for the same hop) I simply wanted to explore the idea.

Goggles - nah, i'm a fairweather skier Hat/neckwarmer - ditto. Ski jacket - i'd be wearing that. Evening clothes - not really required if you go to the resorts I frequent. Day clothing - that's your skiwear, no?

I do however agree that it's a thoroughly unappealing proposition before we even get into the bin hog debates etc. Sods law it'd end up being a bus job to a remote stand then an attempt by myself to lug the aforementioned bags up the steps and onto the plane (which would board from the back, just for good measure).
