I did the Ameniti thing as well. My one R/T from SIN to LGA/JFK this month adds 40k+ miles with 100% bonus. Added to the 50k, one free biz tix to Asia.
I'd love to fly biz to Asia. But if I'm going to Asia I want the EQMs! That way I can make 1K and get SWUs (a far better way to get into biz, IMHO: you're not as date-constrained). Flying on awards is for my family, not for me... I NEED STATUS MILES!
Now, you can use RDMs to upgrade, but upgrading to Asia/Europe with miles means buying an expensive fare, so that's out too.
And if you DO want 50K miles, ok. But get them from a VISA purchase instead of Ameniti... it's cheaper!
(This is not to say I didn't sign up for Ameniti: some RCC passes, SPG Gold, then cancel within 30 days... makes sense.)
