So according to government logic, a person whose name and photograph appear on a government issued document (such as a drivers license), will magically morph into an unidentifiable person or suspected security threat at the same time the document expires.

Is it so difficult to make a policy that the photograph on the ID must reasonably match the person who is trying to access the checkpoint and leave it at that?

This stupidity is so frustrating.
