If points were awarded on fare basis, then you would be given F class points as the ticket as a whole is in A class. Works the other way of course for DONEs, as you get to fly F!
But as everyone knows, that is only because the front seats in the LOTFAP are called FIRST when the rest of the civilised world only calls that level of service the equivalent of BUSINESS (or the like). QF giving FIRST SCs on AA flights (booked as DONEx) is compensation for what you put up with.
