The lesser known Liberia -- a resort community on
the Pacific side of Costa Rica, far from West Africa
-- becomes a hot new United destination this
December, just in time for the winter holidays.
The new seasonal service between Chicago O'Hare will
run from Dec. 15 to April 29, and gives customers in
the United States access to another sun destination.
"The new service is exactly what our customers in
the United States are seeking during the winter
vacation season," says Greg Taylor, senior vice
president-Planning. "The Pacific side of Costa Rica
and its growing resort community is an extremely
popular vacation destination."
The flights operate on Saturday only. United flight
1099 departs Chicago at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in
Liberia, Guanacaste at 1:45 p.m. United flight 1098
departs Liberia at 2:40 p.m. and arrives in Chicago
at 7:54 p.m.
The new flights are timed for convenient connections
in Chicago. They will be operated with an Airbus
320 aircraft.
