1. TPA-DCA: then-Attorney General and Top Cop, John Ashcroft -- I was doing a mileage run, sat up in TPA for 6 hours and had not slept. I vaguley noted he looked familiar, but then fell asleep as soon as butt hit seat. Not until we were landing and he pulled out his "DOJ" valise did I put 2 and 2 together.

2. SFO - ORD: Some guy with a World Series ring. I did not recognize him, and could not read the year on the ring (though I spent most of the flight angling to read it). Probably was the batboy.
