I'd like to ask Lufthansa FTers a few questions who may have done a flight in the new C (especially to Japan) recently:

1. Which would you choose: LHR-FRA-NRT or LHR-MUC-NRT? The MUC flight arrives a couple of hours later than the FRA flight: is it worth going through MUC? The FRA flight is a B747 and the MUC a A340: is the airbus better? What are the lounges like there (for *G) ?

2. Flying FRA-KIX is around 200U$D cheaper. Tokyo would be my final destination but if I flew to Osaka, I could see some friends, so this would not be a problem. I understand that this is a B747-400. Is this flight usually full?

3. Does anyone know if LH permits open jaws (flying inbound to KIX, outbound from NRT)...When I search for this multi-segment journey in their website, I don't get the discounted business price.

4. What is the Japanese in-flight meals like? I usually fly the Japanese airlines so I'm not really sure how european airlines match up here.

(this probably is more suitable in the * forum): I also have the option of travelling through CPH on SK. Would people choose the LH C product over SK C?

I recently tend to prefer the A 340 layout. It feels more airy and fresh. Also the seats are 2-2-2, which eliminates the fear of the center section. If you can grab the mini-cabin then you are best off.

I only did NRT one in F, and the meal was up to LH standards. Open jaw is usually restricted to within country, sometimes Europe. so it shouldn't be a problem.

The SEN lounge in FRA is overcrowded. The SEN lounge in MUC (Schengen) is great. Best showers outside the F terminal...

Good food and drinks
