the subject title really says it all. I've got a half-'round-the-world trip coming up in December and am wondering if LHR-ORD is worth it in C on UA? I don't fly all that often, and the only C class I've experienced are Air France and SQ.

Yes, I know no American airlines can compete with an Asian airline in the premium cabin, but I am wondering if on its own merit UA C on this route is worth it, especially since united.com is showing me a price of USD7k? (Which is a lot more than what I'm paying for SYD-SIN-LHR in C on SQ!!!!)

Also, considering how broken united.com is, how can I find a decent C price on this route?
