I fly mainly out of Cleveland, so most flights don't have first class. This is regardless of the fact that flights purchased even a week or two in advance between say CLE and PHL or CLE and CVG average over $800.

This means I get upgraded less than 5% of the time as a Platinum. This upgrade amenity is of very little use to me, and coupled with the fact that EUA won't kick in next year even when I fly a mainliner unless I pay through the nose, plus the inability to use reward travel to any destination I really care to go, my Continental habit has been kicked.
