I've stayed at the Kauai Hyatt the past two Novembers, and found it to be ultra casual, except at dinner in the more formal restaurant. That said, there were plenty wearing tshirts covered with ads, and shorts everywhere on the hotel grounds. (maybe not on the golf course) And yes, there are some people decked out in their resort wear finest, but many of them looked like they're wearing brand new clothes with the pins still in them!

In other words, super casual is fine. I usually wear my quik-dry hiking capris (I have more than 1 pair) and a fitted t-shirt when I'm there. Maybe a golf shirt.

There is a cute little resort wear shop in the hotel, I've picked up a couple of things there.
