Lack of flaps merely means you carry higher speeds on approach through touchdown. In gusty winds, it is safer to carry higher speeds during approach. IMO, this is no big deal if you have enough runway to get stopped once you touch down at a higher speed. Logan should have plenty of runway to do this safely.

That would explain why the captain asked for the longer runway to be opened for him. Some other traffic (behind us! ^) had to be revectored because of it.
Anybody know about the fuel units?
