An E ticket would be much easier to work with in this case.
Right now, not all airlines in StarA are compatible in E-tix. It will gradually happen. I think one or two of the airlines in your itinerary might not have yet E-tix compatibility.
I suggest that you take all the tix involved. Is it too heavy? How about all other FTers who use 3 or 4 RTW tickets in one trip?
Anyway, if along the way, one of the agent suspects an incorrect tax calculations, the agent will not be pleased with your partial RTW tix. Or else, an emergency comes up, and your tix needs to be re-issued? Yup, the ticketing agent needs to have the whole set to exchange it.
