I flew from IAD the other day and while the lines for security looked almost like those on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I was happily surprised things moved so quickly. It took just 12 minutes.

My US flights have all left from Z of late. Nice that you can avoid the people movers and shuttle buses.
