Cars: AutoShare only uses modern, reliable cars and vans. Our fleet is currently primarily Toyota Corollas and Echos, with about 40% Suzuki Aerio Wagons. Our vans are Dodge Cargo Grand Caravans (2 seats-only). Most are and 2002 to 2005 model year.
(ed: and Toyota Matrix - though it and the cargo van are $1 extra per day and may charge extra for kms).

Between 12am and 7am there are only charges for kms, not time

Also must pass these criteria:

Be at least 25 years young

Have a full class “G” license for three years running

Have two or fewer speeding tickets within the last three years (and none over 41km above the speed limit)

Have no at-fault accidents in the last three years

Have no criminal code convictions under the Motor Vehicles Act

Disadvantages: may not be able to get a car (95% success rate though is pretty good)

Can only use the car for 24 hours on weekends (though they have car rental partners starting at $31/day - in fact it might be worthwhile getting the membership just for the car rental rates)
