Here is a secret that works for me, but dont tell anyone else. If I can't get what I need from CO to Micronesia out of SAN or LAX, I'll find a cheap flight to Honolulu and do Micronesia from there, or I'll buy a cheap flight to San Francisco, where CO uses NWA with much more availability.
