For $2299 plus taxes you get 5 return trips, likely in J class that earn you nearly 25,000 miles and some upgrades to use from cheap fares to Europe, Asia or anywhere you please, an effective RCC membership for nearly a year and a half, and whatever else comes with Elite. All for $2299. For the rest of the Elites it was thousands of miles of travel at higher cost and a longer wait time to get the status if they were not already Elite. Bizarre promo to be sure.
And when was the last time you "earned" status on AC?
And BTW I could get E status for almost the same money in CDN if I took 5 RT cheap flts to Europe.
And BTW the pass is for US to Canada flts only which means they are possibly targetting the commuter market.....details,of course
