We are going on a trip to Ireland with a very great group from a local pub. We did talk a couple into going and thought they would really enjoy it but having dinner with them the other night I found the wife to be very picky and kept the waitress busy with complaints with her meal. I never send anything back...My husband and I both have traveled to Europe and we know that in some countries such as Germany you can't even get dumplings instead of a potato, the menu is exact. I just don't want to spend ten days with her whining about the food. The food can be wonderful in Ireland and horrible. We just go with the flow and don't let it bother us. We do have a rule list on this trip and one is that you never invite yourselve to go with another person unless they invite you. That way you get some alone time. Another rule is if you pack it you carry it. Maybe some before trip rules would be good.
