People are proposing writing to CO over this? And not only that... writing to the CEO??? I think we need to put this in perspective? You didn't get to board first... big deal. It happens. There was probably a good reason, like the flight being delayed. Perhaps the gate agent could have communicated the situation better, but still, this is not a big deal.

Now, if you found that this gate agent repeatedly ignores procedure for no apparent reason and never boards Elites, then it should be reported. But that doesn't sound like the case here.
