Congratulation and welcome to the Silver Medallion level! Your account
will be updated on Saturday. SkyMiles accounts that qualify for Elite
status are processed the weekend following the update of the Medallion
Qualification Miles balance. Members who qualify for the next Medallion
level and earn credit for travel before the accounts are updated will
receive retroactive Medallion bonus miles for all eligible flights. The
accounts are automatically updated the month following qualification.
Please allow 4-5 weeks from the time your account is updated to receive
your Silver Medallion credentials.
The stupidity continues... i replied notifying them i was not seeking miles, but an upgrade certificate because i was not given benefits immediately upon reaching silver status... here is their latest BS reply.. notice he points out once the acct is updated, you can enjoy benefits, but as someone posted above, the website says you enjoy benefits as soon as you reach the required mileage, it does not say it could take up to 6 days for the acct to update.

change at any time. Unless otherwise stated, the current rules in effect
at the time of your travel, request for a benefit, or other transaction
will govern that transaction.
