Mexicana Clase Ejecutiva Bad Service

Last month, I bought a biz class ticket from Bogota to Mexico City on MX 392. Overall, it was an unpleasant trip. It turns out on the AB 319 they fly, row 3 does not recline fully and the pitch is bad. The service was poor - 4 and 1/2 hours and the FA's only came around once with a drinks service although they delilberately woke up my seat mate to see if he wanted duty free. When I found an FA and asked for a glass of water, he told me that he didn't work the business class cabin.

Anyway, I sent a complaint to Mexicana and suggested that they might want to compensate me for this service, they sent back a polite e-mail saying they were aware of the seat problem and were sorry about the service. No compensation (I had suggested a voucher for some future travel or an upgrade.)

Much to my surprise this was also followed by a phone call telling me they really would like my business back but again no compensation. Why would they call just to waste my time?

So overall, I am wondering. Have other people had similar bad experiences with Mexicana, not just the bad seat but the lousy service? Did I just get a one shot problem. I need to decide if I am willing to risk this flight again. If not, I will take Avianca or change in Miami.
