First of all, you asked why DL would call you 45 minutes before your MCO flight when they could "obviously see" you were on the ground. How do you know that? Having worked for Delta Air Lines in reservations and working waitlists, mis-connects, and illegal connects. I actually made hundreds of similar calls placed to you. I can tell you the agent was most likely looking at a computer generated screen that showed the flight you were originally booked on and the protected flights. I highly doubt they were looking at the "FLIFO" (Flight informtation) of the flight you were on or going to connect to. They don't have a lot of time to do that.
I believe this is her point...DL's computer has the info, why doesn't it provide it to the agent making the call? Seems like it would allow them to cut down on the needless calls in addition to providing better service
