Flew into Kimpo on 3/26 and out of Incheon on 4/2.

World of difference, of course.

There IS in fact a rail link in the forseeable future. It is scheduled for completion in 2005, but they are doing what they can to get it done in 2004.

I took an airport bus, from Hapjchong station. Hapjchong is the last stop before heading to the airport on this bus route. It cost only 5,000 Won. That is mighty cheap transport. 10,000 on the KLM bus sounds mighty cheap, too. And the ride was not that long. It doesn't seem any longer than from the Hong Kong airport into Kowloon or Central. ANd the CityFLyer buses in HK are widely used, so the missing rail doesn't strike me as insurmountable for now.

The Diners CLub lounge is small, but sufficient with free soda, beer and juice. Also, 3 internet terminals for free.

The gleaming Check In Councourse reminds me alot of the new HK airport, actually. Lots of silver and white, though Incheon has really nice dark wood touches. The Cafe, upstairs, is lovely, and the least pricey of all the restaurants, of which there are several. Japanese, Chinese, Korean and maybe one or two more.

My departure gate, #35 was weird. IT was actually down a flight of stairs, in the vicinity of gates 34-38. Not very clear markings, and several people mentioned that it took a bit of time to find it.
