I thought I remembered a response from Continental some time back basically saying that they should always do a priority boarding. Besides, I thought that was the purpose of the blue carpet anyway.

Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

I wouldn't mind so much if they cancelled it from time to time but it really makes the situation a lot worse for CO's best customers. Usually they're seated in the front and the number of people from the back of the plane taking up the forward overhead bins is fairly astounding.
