Return fares start at £230 in economy class including taxes and charges. Premium economy costs £1,624 with business class priced at £1,962.

I'm one of those who has often used humour/sarcasm to vent my frustration at the direction BMI is taking, but I am genuinely pleased that they have made a good start on this route (which I'm sure I shall never use!).

But I wonder who would pay £1,624 to travel in Premium Economy when you can have Economy for £230 and Business for £1962?
