EWR to MCO - no elite boarding???

My partner and I flew to MCO last weekend to spend the holiday weekend with Mickey and Minnie and our good friend Goofy!

At EWR the flight was late, due to weather, no biggie. We only had our rollaboards and were seated 2d row back in steerage on a 767-400!

The agent at the ramp door announced boarding for FC, then promptly boarded by row for the rest of the plane! I was annoyed with this b/c as you all know overhead bins fill up rather quickly and we stood little chance of having room for our rollaboards! I approached the agent at the counter - who was very surprised that they did not board elites and then told me to go ahead and board. When we walked up with our boarding passes the agent asked me what I was doing and I told her that I was boarding. She said to me as we walked down the ramp that they didn't board elites b/c there were so many kids and elites on this flight! I doubt that, not the kid part. There were 11 seats open in FC the morning of the flight!

I think I was right to express my righteous indignation - if they take that small benefit away, what's left - the security line?
