^ Good Idea - except the rest of my family generally travels with me, and the amount of accounts we would end up needing would be exponential I guess back to paying with $$

Regarding the passport #... I am not 100% sure but I think it is only for some nationalities. I don't remember giving my passport detail - but then again the rules may have changed.
