I know this isn't a unique perspective, but I have been having sooo much trouble booking on United.com lately and it's driving me crazy.

I am going to visit a friend and I need to get to Frankfurt, leaving November 19th and returning the 27th. I always try to book on United.com cuz I can book the seats and get the exact flight I want. But more and more it doesn't allow me onto the flights I want, no matter how I manipulate the expert mode and the end is result is that I waste a hell of a lot of time and get pissed off.

THis am I'm pricing my ticket to FRA, and I may have got it as low as $1400 in Eco, was planning to Upgrade with miles so don't really mind the high price. Then I go over to Expedia, ask for their lowest fare on United same dates and flights and i get $1410. I look at the fare rules tro find the fare basis and notice it begins with Z and at the top of the page it says web fare. I realize this is too good to be true, so i proceed to book the ticket and the record ends and sure enough I'm in Biz class for $1400 to Frankfurt. Penalty has a $400 fee for cancellation.

What's up. When I go back to United.com on the same flights for biz, it prices out for $6700.

I got a survey yesterday from United which was so slow I had to give up. What is up with United online - It's been a piece of crap for years and gets worse and worse. Why can't anyone there do anything about it??? Why do we get web Biz fares on Expedia and not United.com - it's ridiculous.

Anyway - if anyone is going to Frankfurt for Thankgsgiving, $1400 for Biz is a pretty good deal - go for it!
