We've stayed there several times and been upgraded a couple. As with any property it depends on availability. I also think some properties are more likely to upgrade on 1-2 night stays, and more reluctant to upgrade for longer stays as it ties up the suite they might be able to sell a couple nights out. As diamond we've always received the continental breakfast certs, and it's only 2-3.00 to upgrade to the full breakfast.

We like the DT. The pool is nice and the property has always been clean and well maintained, with good service from the employees. Yes it's a long way from Duval, but we have a little one who's old enough to enjoy the pool and relax for part of the day before heading into town. When it's time to go downtown we've always had good luck with their shuttle. I would at minimum get a room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The ones overlooking the parking lot with no balcony would be more like your basic Hampton. Lunch has been good, I can't comment on dinners as we're always downtown by then. Last time we were there, there was a crew and models doing a fashion shoot for a catalog (can't remember the name, my wife would). They asked our 6 year old daughter to be in the shots and paid her well for an hours work! Needless to say it was the highlight of her trip that year

The Hilton wants 60,000 per night?!?!
