That turned out to be worse than expected and to all those who might think about taking AF over KL when it comes to TATL routes in C, let me recommend that KLM is absolutely and without any doubt a no brainer.

I subscribe to this position.

I had the same impression with my first AF flight on business class AMS-CDG-GIG-CDG-AMS, and it was with the NEV (new business class version!).

1. Priority bag not respected on arrival in GIG (actually, my baggage was one of the very last to come out in the baggage belt);
2. Rude, slow, irresponsive and inpersonal crew, with very poor English;
3. Below average business lounge in CDG if compared to KL new Crown Lounge;
4. AF GIG wanted to charge me for 1.5kg extra baggage (I'm Platinum, traveling C). I found this outrageous! I considered it a slap on my face.
5. AF on C only offers 2 hot meals + express meal, whereas KL offers choice of 3 hot meals + express meal;
6. CDG is a complete mess, compared to AMS which is a breeze when you arrive from an intercontinental flight;
7. On arrival in AMS my luggage got stuck in the strike in CDG. I only got my luggage SEVEN FULL days after arrival.

Summary: KLM is much superior and I will do my best to avoid AF business in the future.
