How pathetic!!!
On the Royal Dutch Airlines the purser normally comes around and greets everybody by name in WBC, sometimes only the KLM Plat Elites. It is a very nice touch that cost the airlines nada and it is always a nice chat.
Several pursers took my comments seriously and wrote them down on customer surveys.
On AF you are not even adressed by your name by the FA serving your side, not to mention the purser who seemed to have a strange attitude anyway...
It is downright pathetic that the FAs serve dinner , disappear for 6 hours and appear again for breakfast. No rounds of beverages in between, but a small bar set up with not enough glasses and no snacks beside two apples and cheap cheap Accor Hotels branded chocolates...
KLM serves at least some Leonidas pralinees....
When I boarded the plane I was pleasantly surprised to find a 0.2 l bottle of water in the seat pocket and thought that it is a nice touch
These days taxiing, takeoff and some turbulence early on can make you wait for an hour without a drink, so the small bottle is a nice touch.
I certainly expected a bigger 0.5 l bottle after the dinner as it is standard on every el cheapo carrier upfront, but obviously not on AF...
I certainly always have my own bottle with me, but normally I expect to get all the staff I need flying C across the pond on a 9.5 hour flight.
By the way, the water I ordered for breakfast is still not served and the table of the guy net to me is probably still not cleared from breakfast.
More than often LH crew is performing according to their manuals and nothing more, same on AF obviously , but their working manuals are 20 pages thinner in comparison to LH....
