Second, wireless internet in lounges and select trains no longer free:

Where you can stay connected

In our stations:
By the end of September, you will be able to surf the web in our Panorama lounges in four stations: Dorval, Kingston, Toronto and Montréal. In Dorval and Kingston, Wi-Fi connectivity will be available throughout the station. Please note that our Panorama lounges are reserved exclusively for travellers in VIA 1 class and sleeper classes.

On board our trains:
Between Montréal and Toronto, wireless Internet access will remain available in VIA 1 class on board trains number 52 and 53 (both leaving Montréal and Toronto at 6:55) as well as on board express trains number 66 and 67 (departing from Toronto and Montréal at 5:00 p.m.)

Just look for the logo appearing on the top of this page to know if you are in a Wi-Fi environment.
Now a pay on demand service

Since September 1, 2005 (and as part of our plan to extend Wi-Fi access to other trains), our Internet services has become billable. Learn about our 3 easy payment plans...

Since September 1, 2005, Opti-Fi Networks offers you three service plans (through our Wireless Internet portal). Choose the one best suited to your needs and travel habits.

You can:

1. Select our pay-per-use plan: obtain the first 15 minutes for $3.99 (CAN) and each additional minute for only $0.30.
2. Take advantage of our Daily Access Plan: pay a flat rate of $8.95 (CAN) for a 24-hour period.
3. Go for the Monthly Access Plan: for $46, get unlimited access during a one-month period. This plan renews automatically.
If they actually put this on more trains it could be good.

Also, I noticed about a month ago that the morning rush-hour YUL-YYZ trains are no longer express (or were they ever?). The 5pm are.
