I would think it could be done. I would remove the one you are not going to use and put it in your pocket then just give the conductor the rest.

I get the sense the conductors barely read the tickets.

Which reminds me I have an unused VIA ticket well over a year old so it is useless UNLESS I could pass it off to a non reading conductor. I cannot redeem it as it is unused and over a yr old but VIA got its money for no service. Just an idea as I hate to lose.
