Ok, she really wasn't my pilot, but....
Last night on UA703, I was just unwinding in my seat shortly having take-off with a glass of diet pepsi and vodka ^ then I heard an annoucement from a female...."We have now reached our cruising altitude, you are free to move around the cabin....right now the temperature in Los Angeles...." and then I thought, usually the pilot makes those annoucements and not FA?
Yup, we had a female pilot flying a 757
I think this was the first time I have ever been on a plane that's flown by a female pilot. I was listening in on channel 9-air traffic channel and everyone who was speaking was a male and then I heard a female voice UA703 once in a while
This reason why I said Jodie Foster was my pilot was because our pilot sounded like her (i.e. very butch
).
I thought it was awesome, and seriously she gave one of the best landings I have ever had. It was so smooth that I did not even know when we touched down and she did not even use reverse thrust to slow the plane down and we were already turning towards the gate! She must have been flying very slowly ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
We should have more Jodie Fosters flying UA planes
