In the increasingly fuel-conscious airline world, reverse thrust doesn't get used much on a long runway. The combo of spoilers and moderate use of autobrakes works just fine for the non-widebody planes. On a full 777/744, though, the pilots will almost always apply the reversers.
There really are lots of female pilots out there, so much so that I hardly notice anymore. Which is probably how it should be.
