I was on a dinner flight from IAH to DCA on a Saturday a few weeks back and we had soup and a choice of salad or pasta. A week prior on a weekday travel same routing we had salad with the entree being rice, vegetables and roasted chicken. I found it strange that they were serving hot soup on a dinner flight but didnt think much of it till your comment.
