It does seem that there isn't too much to choose between the two. So I guess I'll stick with the RC then.

The FS has much better service than the RC in my opinion. The decor is nothing fancy- but the FS will help you with whatever business needs you may have without the attitude that the RC staff have. Stay at the FS for your sanity.
In terms of airport service- any taxi will take you from Pudong airport to either hotel- there is also an airport limousine service to the left of where you exit customs should you prefer this option- cost to either hotel will be 360-400 RMB total.
