Is this a new one - flying to YYZ last weekend, we were going from gate 24. Great, a bit of a hike, beat that DVT, but imagine my surprise when I found out that we had to climb down the emergency stairs at the gate then take a bus all of 100 yards to the remote stand that's just past gate 25.
Usually quite cool to climb the stairs to a 747 but when you have an infant with you all of a sudden it becomes a different proposition...
And is this the latest way to save £££'s, rather than running the bus from gate 1?
this happened to me once last year - was not best pleased. Walk to the furthest gate and then get a bus! To be fair, the staff at the get were a bit embarrassed about it also.
