Just got home from my quick stay (mainly for points and FFN credit) at the New Brunswick HR. I booked my stay at hyatt.com yesterday. Using the promo code G2 and AAA at the same time, I was offering a bed and breakfast rate
at $129, a regular AAA rate at $127 and the hyatt.com rate at $130. Without thinking too much (my SO was rushing me to dim sum), I booked the bed and breakfast rate
After awhile, I remembered the great people here mentioned something like package rate may consider an ineligible rate despite shown on the hyatt.com. I quickly phoned the plat line and inquired the eligibility of my rate. The friendly agent stated the rate is eligible and just to be sure, I repeated it after her. I was happy then!
Today, after I checked out, I noticed all charges on my folio have the dread * next to it. So, I told myself what a dump fool I am. The whole point of this stay was to generate points and stay credit, which I obtained neither.
Instead I am $150 poorer. The other kicker is the buffet breakfast was only so so.
and I had to remind them to send me the breakfast coupon 4 hours after they promised it will be in the room "shortly".)
At this point, I am still hopeful that I’ll get the points and the stay credit!
