I stayed at the FI in Burnsville, MN. last weekend. I did not get the plat welcoming gift, but since the manager did several other favors for us during the stay, I didn't press the point. I had forgotten some office supplies...including tape and packing materials for some packages. The manager said he'd look to see if he had any....then showed up at our room five minutes later with everything we needed.

To me, helping me out of a tough spot at 10pm the night before an important event was worth more than the 25 bucks. I'll make that trade anytime! Also I was using a $50 bonus bucks coupon, so I thought I was getting enough of a bargain. And when I checked out, I got points credit based on what the room rate would've been had I not used the bonus bucks.
