If you mean the commercial US sat radio services (XM/Sirius), they likely won't work anywhere near Australia, due to their signal footprints, which are intended to cover the continental U.S. Some in other North American and Caribbean countries (Canada, Mexico, Bahamas) have reported success in regularly getting a signal.
